- Gathering and shining in HoanCau Convention Centre , 80 contestants of Miss Universe 2008 had made an excellent performance in the final round that took place at 7 p.m, July the 8th.

Belonging to Diamond Bay Resort, today, the first officially used time of HoanCau Convention Centre would be for Miss Universe 2008 in 3 final round days. Resplendently, on July 8th , this 7,500 seat theatre became more and more brilliant with the appearance and performance of 80 beauties from all over the world. All Misses brought a passionate performance to the audiences in this beautiful seaside city with two rounds of bikini and evening dress contest. 

In spite of  being familiar with impressive beauty of Misses in attractive bikinis, audiences seemed to be delighted with this special performance. The center stage with national bronze drum and bamboo hedge of Vietnamese culture decorated for many perfect bodies, beautiful strides on strong and vigorous music. The audiences not only came to admire the gathering time of world beauties but also had a surprising chance to explore some Misses’ secrets such as: Miss Mexico wants to pilot a plan by herself, Miss El Salvador is especially interested in singing, Miss Hungary never touches fruit, Miss India loves animals or Miss Venezuela has a passion for surfing sport. Through confident, free and active strides, once again audiences were impressed by the Beauties’ attractiveness.

Unsurprisingly, Miss Mexico - Vinpearl Queen in bikini received more and more support from huge handclaps. Besides, Misses from Korea, Venezuela, India, Kazakhstan, Thailand also made the audiences bow down in front of their radiant beauties.

Miss Vietnam Thuy Lam Nguyen had a confident performance and received support from the own country audiences. Instead of a green custom like before, in the contest tonight ThuyLam chose orange bikini with slight curled hair, which made her more luxurious and elegant.

Saying goodbye to healthy, youthful strides in swimsuit contest, the Beauties led audiences to another world of luxury and romance in the evening gown performance with graceful, colorful dresses.

Silk and chiffon were chosen for evening costumes design. Gently, these two main materials contributed to Misses’ beauty with lissome footsteps.  In a blue sea chiffon dress , as slight as water wave , Miss Albany began the performance impressively. Miss Colombia  persuaded people by a special evening gown and her elegant performing style. The Beauties from Mexico and Venezuela chose a sparkle yellow color for their costumes that their own beauty would be impressed completely.

Representative of Vietnam, Miss Thuy Lam Nguyen became more attractive in a silver shinning dress that clung to her lovely figure. With stylish make-up and a slight curled hair ThuyLam looked. rather older than her current age , however, she was actually very exquisite and graceful . Her gentle footsteps made good impression to the audience and commission council. However, generally, Thuy Lam’s costume was not as outstanding as other Beauties’ such as Miss Colombia, Miss India, Miss Albany, Miss Australia, Miss Puerto Rico, etc. 

 80 contestants all over the world converged to Nha Trang , lightened up this lovely seaside city with their radiant beauties but with distinguished figures and characters. Perhaps deciding the most 15 excellent faces would be an actual difficult for the examination board . The list will be revealed in the coronation night on next June 14th. 

However, till this time, audiences can choose the favorite Beauty themselves. From the beginning, outstanding among 80 Misses are familiar and remarkable faces such as Miss Venezuela, Mexico, Australia, Dominican Republic, Peru, America, etc. Having an advance as a host with an effort to be more and more graceful, Miss Thuy Lam is predicted to be in top 15 of this year Miss Universe contest.  

The final performance finished successfully after 3 hours , left a really impressive time to the audiences. Miss Universe 2007, Ryio Mori, in fluent English speaking ,accomplished her MC task excellently. Although appearing with 80 Beauties from the four parts of the earth, she still was very attractive and confident in a black evening dress with high tied hair, confirming her Miss Universe position. Next to Ryio Mori , MC Khac Nguyen Nguyen also satisfied people with his polite look and smart compering style in his first time to be a MC for an international program . Some small mistakes were forgiven understandingly because he proved himself as a knowledgeable and well-spoke English MC.

Performance of dancing team ABC on Vietnamese traditional melody  Trong com made the program become more exciting. However, appearance of singer Kasim Hoang Vu with the song How I love you (he had performed in previous swimsuit contest at Vinpearl land ) did not attract audiences too much because of showing a boring repetition even though he performed rather emotively. Sometimes the MC made the atmosphere “hotter” and people coming to contest tonight were more enthusiastic that giving resounding applause to the Beauties. Especially, some contestants from Guam, Korea, Japan, Puerto Rico, etc, surely felt happy because among thousands audiences, there are many people from their home countries coming to Nha Trang city to support for their Misses.
