- In an illusory of sparkle light, fresh wind from the sea blowing lightly, 80 contestants started their tasks in the round of bikini contest, Miss Universe 2008 in Vinpearl. Passed out many other potential competitors, Miss Mexico became the Queen of Vinpearl land. 

Vinpearl Land seemed to be shined brightly by the appearance of 80 Misses in attractive bikinis. Professional strides, round turns, with attractive bodies’ beauty, the contestants of Miss Universe 2008 performed perfectly, contributed to an execellent performance that brought the audiences to the world of beauty. 

The contest commission included: Miss Universe 2007- Ryio Mori, Mr. Cong Khe Nguyen - editor in chief of “Thanhnien” newspaper, Mr. Ai Truc Mai - president of Khanhhoa province, Mr. Xuan Than Le - organizer in chief of Miss Universe 2008, Mr. Dai Thanh Hoang – editor in chief of “Thoi trang tre” magazine, Miss Giang My (Miss Hung temple), Doctor Thanh Van Nguyen, director of Thanh Van Aesthetic hospital. 

80 contestants were divided in 3 groups, 6 performances in front of audiences. All of them are very familiar with stage lights, some are professional models, and as a result, they finish their performance excellently. Images of 80 Misses standing in front of big hand claps from the audiences really made a wonderful warm and friendly atmosphere.  Colours of bikinis: yellow, green and orange are distinguished impressively on the stage (also with hot colour designed). However, among 80 beauties, 3 Misses: Miss Curacao, Miss Ghana and Miss Indonesia chose monobikini, in stead of bikini. 

Ryio Mori, Miss Universe 2007 had made a special deeply impression when appearing on Vinpearl stage on a cycle (a traditional mean of Vietnamese transportation). Simply, sincerely, Ryio Mori shared in English: “I’ve got a comfortable feeling on this cycle This was the 2nd time I’ve sit on this and I also knew that was a traditional transportation of Vietnam”. Moreover, Miss Universe 2007 made a surprise to the audiences, saying “Toi yeu Vietnam” in Vietnamese once more time proved the wonderful attractiveness of the owner of Miss Universe 2007. 

When the performance of a Japanese actor ( a present from organizers to Miss Universe 2007 and the audiences) finished, the thrilling time came. Even smile beautifully, little stressness still appeared on the face of contestants.

Five names of the most attractive Misses in bikinies were called: Miss USA: Crystle Steward, Miss Spain: Claudia Moro, Miss India: Simran Kaur, Miss Colombia: Taliana Vargas and Miss Mexico: Elisa Najera. 

As Mc Quynh Huong said, 80 contestants were radiant flowers so choosing 5 most beautiful girls in bikini was difficult and it was even harder to choose one of them as the Vinpearl Queen. However, with an ideal height, attractive body, perfect measurements and a graceful face, Miss Mexico Elisa Najera persuaded board of judges and more than 5000 audiences in Vinpearl to become the Queen of Vinpearl land. 

Step forward with a face radiant with smiles, Miss Mexico Elisa Najera was the winner tonight and received a commemorative cup and an award of 2,000 USD. Each of 4 remaining Beauties in top 5 received a prize of 1,000 USD and a commemorative cup.  

Although Miss Vietnam Thuy Lam was not in top 5, she had a very confident and stylish performance. Not as many people predicted, Miss Venezuela Dyana Mezoda, a potential candidate for Crown of Miss Universe this year, was not in top 5 most beautiful contestants in the swimsuit. However, she always looked cheerful, kept smiling brightly and waved to the audiences. 

The swimsuit contest night took place and finished successfully. Performances of singers inside and outside country such as Minh Thu, Kasim Hoang Vu, Tra My, Ho Ngoc Ha, etc, impressed people and contributed to the night. Especially, Vietnamese oversea singers Linda Trang Dai and Tommy Ngo, as well as Japanese dancers brought to audiences many amazing performances.
